PROJECT:
"1913 St Johns Craftsman Full Restoration & Addition"

We completed a full restoration and addition for this 1913 Craftsman home located at N Willamette and Polk Streets. Every square inch was thoughtfully restored—from the utilities to the original 1913 door hardware.

We milled all new siding and moldings on-site to exactly match the home’s original millwork. The drywall received a putty-coat finish to mimic the appearance of old-world plaster. Structural repairs included trenching and restoring the foundation to eliminate leaks.

Mechanical upgrades included replacement of all electrical panels and wiring, removal of the old oil tank, installation of central heating and air, and a new tankless hot water heater.

The addition was built on the east side to provide an expanded kitchen, additional closets, a new stairwell, and a larger master bathroom. We custom-built the cabinets, built-ins, and even the bathroom furniture to match the original 1913 craftsmanship.

We love projects like this—especially when the homeowner is committed to preserving original materials. For example, the new porch was milled from old-growth beams discovered in the basement, and every piece used in the porch design was reclaimed Doug fir dating back to the home’s original 1913 construction.

A very fun and rewarding restoration!
